Bon Appetit!
Whether at home or on the road traveling, food has always been a source of comfort for my family and I. I have always found that our best conversations have always revolved around food; conversations seem to flow over a cup of joe or a glass of wine or a local home-cooked meal. So, even though I might not be in my own kitchen (with my pots and pans and favorite cooking utensils), I have learned to make do. Here, I will share food stories as well as some of my family’s favorite recipes that can be prepped and cooked no matter where in the world you are. The secret is to use fresh ingredients found locally and make it with love!

Delicious chicken dish shared by Internationally known Chef Carmelo. Easy to prepare with simple ingredients.
Black Magic Chocolate Cake
I’m not a big fan of chocolate but John sure is. We both love coffee so when I came across this recipe 20 years ago from Epicure™, a Canadian company from Victoria, British Columbia, I decided to give it a try.
Classic (French) Crepes
This is my go-to recipe for crepes on a Sunday morning! We love it drizzled with maple syrup and served up with crispy bacon.

Maple Glazed Ribs
I love tasty, well-cooked bbq ribs. When I get a craving, I send John to the butcher to buy some baby back ribs (costillitas de cerdo in Spanish) and 5 hours later, we eat the tastiest, fall-off-the-bone tender ribs. 5 hours seems like an eternity because the smell is amazing and makes you hungrier.
